San Francisco Resources

  • The SF Planning Department has released a map of public art and privately-owned public open spaces (POPOS) with some useful filters. For example, you can use this map to find an available bathroom in the middle of the night.
  • Report potholes and other street and sidewalk defects to the Department of Public Works here. The city is very responsive to these requests and will fix a pothole sometimes the very same day. Please use this service!
  • Report illegally parked vehicles and otherwise blocked Public Right of Ways to the city here.
  • Know of a restaurant or shop that lacks good nearby bicycle parking? Request a new bike rack here. The city will (eventually) install it free of charge!
